I have decided that I must be allergic to mornings. Especially mornings that begin at 6:30 a.m.
It absolutely does not matter what time we go to bed. My body seriously dislikes 6:30 a.m.
My mood is further soured by kids that refuse to get up and get dressed peaceably.
I have written a letter to the school board requesting that school begin at 10:00 a.m. This time frame would work better for my family. I am sure they will get right on that.
Maybe we should all write letters. Do you think that would work?? Petition?? Protest??
Something's gotta give!

ReplyDeleteFound you through Blogfrog :)
Some of the high schools around here don't start until 8:45-945 depending on the day. I know that doesn't do you much good now but if you want to move to Birmingham when you kids go to high school you won't have to get up as early =-)
ReplyDeleteCan't help you there. I'm soooo a morning person! Sorry! ;-)

I'll sigh the letter!! I hate getting up in the morning..
ReplyDeleteI hear you...and feel your pain. That's why I homeschool. *kidding* I will sign your petition though. Just because it's highly wrong making mom's get up that early.
ReplyDeleteUgh I totally feel you on this one. My kids don't normally sleep past 6am, apparently they are morning people but they in no way got that from me!
ReplyDeleteOkay Meghan..I'm gonna do it..but not a pop song..I tried to rewrite one, but it just would have been horrible..so..I'm taking the easy way..
ReplyDeleteLove me some Pop music though!
Hate mornings. HATE 'em. Go ahead...send me that petition.

I'm so on board with this!! 10 am? Sounds like my kinda school day...okay, secret here...I considered homeschooling...for the sole reason of not having to get up at the butt crack of dawn!
ReplyDeleteI will sign that petition, my friend!
Oh, and PS--great dare to Keely! And how cute was that?!
Works for me... then I wont have to hear screaming kids outside waiting for the school bus at 7:00 am.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Ugh, I wish my kids would sleep in. My homeschooler is usually the first one up, waking up his brothers & then they sneak around the bedroom in the dark hoping I wont notice.
ReplyDeleteIf I can remember, I get my coffee pot ready at night and set the timer...great for those way to early mornings.
